
Ever wonder what the Visual Arts and the Built Environment (VABE) program entails and how much architecture is actually involved?
Come to the third-year students’ Epilogue exhibition public reception to see for yourself. It runs 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, in the School of Creative Arts (SOCA) Gallery, located at the Windsor Armouries, 37 University Ave. East.
Epilogue is an exhibition of selected works created by students in the VABE graduating class of 2025. These students have studied and been cultivated at the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy’s School of Architecture and Community Development.
Students exhibiting works include Maya Albano, Yara Alhourani, Julia Archer, Daniel Babona, Annika Berthiaume-Koppeser, Finley Booth, Lola Boughner, Daria Facchinato, Carl Gaoiran, Grace Menard, Karla Ordonez, Malcolm McKee, Riley Pellerito, Kacey Petruk, Bret Satri, and Sawyer Snauwaert.
On Sunday, Feb. 2, the Jazz Faculty Concert will focus on some great tunes sung by Shahida Nurullah, joined by guitarist Miles Finlayson, trumpeter Bob Fazecash, pianist Mike Karloff, bassist Mike Palazzolo, percussionist Nicholas Papador, and saxophonist Steve Wood.
The concert starts at 2:30 p.m. in the Capitol Theatre, 121 University Ave. West. Tickets are available in advance on the Capitol Theatre website and at the door on Sunday afternoon.
