Calendar highlights research achievements of women graduate students

Women in Chemistry, in collaboration with the Graduate Student Society, presents the “Women in Research 2025 Calendar”: a tribute to the outstanding achievements of 12 women graduate students engaged in groundbreaking research across diverse disciplines.

The calendar is a celebration of the work conducted by these female researchers, highlighting their contributions in arts, humanities, and social sciences; engineering; human kinetics; law; nursing; business; and science.

“By showcasing a broad spectrum of academic expertise, we emphasize our commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive research environment,” says Rahaf Hussein, a PhD candidate and co-lead of the UWindsor chapter of Women in Chemistry.

“The calendar not only captures the essence of these phenomenal grad students' accomplishments, but also provides a glimpse into their unique journeys, showcasing the impact they have made in their respective fields. We invite the entire university community to explore the stories behind each researcher, gaining insights into the challenges they've overcome and the transformative effect they've had on their disciplines.”

The calendar is available for purchase for $10, with the proceeds supporting the club’s activities. Get a copy in the Essex CORe lobby this week from 10 to 11 a.m.; 1 to 2 p.m., or 4 to 5 p.m., or in the CAW Student Centre from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 27.
