Lancer student-athletes won 19 medals: six gold, eight silver, and five bronze, in competition at the Can-Am Classic track and field meet, Jan. 10 and 11 in the Dennis Fairall Fieldhouse.

A.J. Stanat earned a pair of gold medals, with a 16.29m shotput toss and 16.58m in the men’s weight throw.

Owen MacNeill topped the men’s triple jump at 15.14m. Ben Tilson won top hours in the men’s 600m run and Jacob Fitzpatrick in the mile run. Triple jumper Mandy Brunet won Windsor’s only gold on the women’s side.

Four Lancers met qualifying standards for the U Sports national tournament: MacNeill and Tilson, high jumper Caleb Keeling, and pole vaulter Grace Elford, whose 4.05m bronze-winning jump is the second-best in Lancer women’s history.
