Five recent alumni from UWindsor have joined the recruitment office, working on contract as recruitment advisors. This week, they headed out across Ontario to help show prospective students why Windsor is a great choice for their university education.
“Our recruitment team is excited to have such passionate alumni representing us,” said director Trish Sokoloski. “Their first-hand experience as students, combined with the comprehensive training they’ve received, uniquely positions them to connect with prospective students in a meaningful way. By sharing their own stories and showcasing everything UWindsor has to offer — from top-tier programs to student support services — they’re not just presenting information; they’re helping students imagine their future with us. We are confident that their energy and dedication will make a lasting impact as they visit communities across the province.”
Training started in August, with an in-depth focus on faculty programs and learning opportunities. Team members enjoyed exciting tours of up-to-date facilities and learned about cutting-edge research. They explored the experiential learning opportunities offered in each program, and developed talking points that showcase features of life in Windsor.
The recruitment advisors will visit schools as far away as Timmins, Thunder Bay, and Cornwall. They will help to represent the institution in October at the Ontario Universities Fair in Toronto, and wind up their service in November.
