The Canadian Association for University Continuing Education (CAUCE) has appointed Jennie Atkins as its president for the upcoming term spanning 2024-25. As executive director of University of Windsor Continuing Education, Atkins brings to the post experience and a profound commitment to advancing continuing education in Canada.
A member of CAUCE since 2018, Atkins has served on its executive committee since 2019. Her passion for lifelong learning and her visionary leadership make her an ideal candidate to lead the association during these transformative times.
“I am excited to be selected for this opportunity, and I am sincerely grateful and humbled by the opportunity to lead our association at this pivotal time,” says Atkins. “In a world where the landscape of work and learning is constantly evolving, Continuing Education’s mission to provide accessible, relevant, and transformative educational opportunities is more critical than ever.”
Continuing Education plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between academic institutions, industries, and communities, fostering growth and development across sectors, Atkins says.
“I look forward to working with my colleagues on the executive team to further advocate for the impactful work that we do and building greater connections between higher education, industry, and our respective communities.”
