Dean of law Reem Bahdi has been appointed to the board of governors of the International Association of Law Schools, a non-profit learned society dedicated to serving the worldwide legal education community.
The association comprises more than 250 law schools and departments from over 60 countries representing some 12,000 law faculty members.
Its mission is to cultivate appreciation and respect for the diverse legal systems and cultures across the globe, promoting justice and peace. Through robust legal education, members aim to bolster the pivotal role of law in societal progress. As an inclusive platform, they facilitate discussion on varied perspectives in legal education, striving to enhance and refine law schools worldwide.
“I am honoured to be asked to serve an organization dedicated to the improvement of legal education around the world,” Bahdi said. “I look forward to learning from colleagues around the globe and to showcasing Windsor Law, the University of Windsor, and the City of Windsor to the world.”
