The Windsor University Faculty Association’s winter solstice celebration will run 3:30 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7, at Kerr House, 366 Sunset Ave.

The association’s Status of Women, Diversity and Equity Action Committee is collecting donations for the Welcome Centre Shelter for Women.

Items currently in high demand include underwear and socks, pyjamas and slippers, hygiene products, cleaning products, playpens, high chairs, strollers, juice boxes and fruit cups, canned pastas and meats, oatmeal and boxed cereals, cake mixes, cat and dog food, kitty litter, litter boxes, scoops, disposal bags, pet dishes.

Drop off contributions at the Faculty Association office, weekdays through Dec. 7.
