Erin Pisko, vice-president of strategy at Innovation Asset Collective (IAC), will present “To Innovate and Protect: Unlocking the True Value of Patents” online at noon Friday, Oct. 6.

Part of the Law and Entrepreneurship SpeakHER series hosted by the Entrepreneurship Practice and Innovation Centre (EPICentre) in collaboration with the Faculty of Law, the session will discuss the patent acquisition process, key patent considerations along a venture’s innovation journey, and how patents can provide a competitive advantage to businesses as they scale.

In addition to her leadership role at IAC — a not-for-profit that assists small and medium-sized enterprises in the cleantech sector with their intellectual property needs — Pisko is a registered patent agent with years of experience helping businesses develop their patent and IP strategies.
