2022-2023 Ontario Remembrance Scholarship Deadline Approaching

On January 8, 2020, a Ukrainian airliner crashed near Tehran, Iran. Victims of the crash included 57 Canadians. Among the victims, 34 people were employed at or studying in universities and colleges in Ontario. In February, 2022 and in remembrance of the victims and to commemorate the talent that has been lost, the Province of Ontario recommitted funding to publicly-assisted postsecondary institutions in order to administer dedicated scholarships.

The University of Windsor has been provided four $10,000 dedicated scholarships (3 international student scholarships and 1 domestic student scholarship), to be awarded to students pursuing an undergraduate-level program of study, based on demonstrated financial need and merit, which may include academic achievement and leadership demonstrated through extracurricular activities and community involvement.

  • Leadership skills demonstrated through a written submission to include a detailed account of extracurricular activities and community involvement.
