Wellness is not just about healthy eating and physical activity; it is also about restful sleep, a sense of connection with others, the ability to cope effectively with life’s challenges, self-compassion, and more.
From June 6 to July 3, the Workplace Wellness committee is inviting all employees to Spring into Wellness by participating in a new team challenge. This challenge focuses on four areas of wellness: social, mental and emotional, physical, and environmental. Participants will complete small but fun wellness-enhancing activities each day for four weeks to earn points and be entered into a draw for prizes.
“It’s important to recognize all forms of wellness in your life,” says committee member Marcie Demmans. “You may find that you already do some of the activities listed in the challenge on a daily basis without even noticing them. This challenge encourages you to be mindful of those tasks and to give yourself and team members extra credit for making your well-being a priority.”
More information on how to register and participate can be found on the Spring Into Wellness workplace wellness challenge website or by contacting employeeexperience@uwindsor.ca.
