A panel discussion Thursday, Feb. 10, will highlight Black Excellence in the Media by sharing the journeys of some UWindsor alumni — in front of the camera or behind the scenes.
Moderated by Dwania Peele (BSc 2011, BA 2011), executive director of Canadian Small Business Women, the event will feature:
- Alison Duke (BHK 1989, MHK 1991), co-founder of the OYA Media Group;
- Jermain Franklin (BA 1999), anchor of TSN’s flagship news program SportsCentre; and
- Alain P. Arthur, executive producer for Caribbean Vibrations TV Ltd.
Presented by the University of Windsor Alumni Association, the panelists will explore the successes, the importance of representation in their industries, and what viewers can look forward to in the future.
The event will run 3 to 4 p.m. on Zoom; register here to attend.
