UWindsor Continuing Education’s miniMBA Certificate provides learners with a comprehensive overview of core business functions through six interactive, non-credit courses.
Upon completion, individuals will be able to understand the basics of all business functional areas, increase organizational competitiveness with new strategic insights, learn to view the “big picture” of an organization, and operate more effectively in a team-oriented environment.
The miniMBA provides an opportunity for participants to network and build professional connections, refresh on the most up-to-date best practices in business administration, and learn from instructors who are highly regarded in their industries and have taught at the Odette School of Business as MBA instructors.
Core courses include:
- Accounting Essentials;
- Finance Essentials;
- Marketing Essentials;
- Human Resources Management Essentials;
- Data Analytics Essentials; and
- Strategic Management Essentials.
The miniMBA begins Feb. 5, 2022. Courses may be taken individually or students can complete all courses to achieve the miniMBA Certificate in 15 Saturday mornings. Each course is also eligible for OSAP Micro-credentials (OSAP MC) application.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a minimum requirement. Interested individuals can complete the assessment form to determine the skills required for the class. An Introduction to Microsoft Excel class is being offered on Mondays and Wednesdays, Jan. 17 to Feb. 2, preceding the start of miniMBA.

An online info session will be held Thursday, Nov. 18, at 1 p.m. MiniMBA instructors Diana Sarkis (human resources management), David Van Rijt (accounting), Benny Riggi (finance), and Vincent Georgie (marketing), will speak about the courses, along with a live question-and-answer session.
