Continuing Education’s Web Management for E-Commerce is one of three e-commerce courses participants can complete to obtain the E-Commerce Certificate. The course covers real-world case studies and promotes hands-on learning pertaining to developing and managing and e-commerce website.
Course instructor Navneet Chhajer has extensive experience in the e-commerce space, currently working towards building a seamless online grocery experience for Canadians. A computer science graduate (BSc 2004), he has had an accomplished career in the digital landscape, with stints at internet-first companies like Salesforce and Facebook.
“It can seem quite overwhelming at first to commit to a new approach to doing business, especially when that approach often comes with a demand for speed of execution,” he says. “My desired outcome from this course is to arm you with knowledge and confidence to accelerate the development of a new sales channel for your business, and in some cases a new business altogether!”
Chhajer spent almost eight years at the Facebook social networking service, where he helped companies from various industries adapt to the digital ecosystem and derive maximum returns from their investments in online marketing. During his tenure he led multi-disciplinary teams tasked with building innovative solutions to close the gap between in-store and online, and worked with some of Canada’s first “omni-channel” retailers.
In the Web Management for E-Commerce course, he will share some of that knowledge to help the community adapt to the quick e-commerce shift that has happened at a pace unforeseen by many.
The course takes place on Thursdays, Aug. 12 to Sept. 16, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
