Summer camp comedy feature Boys vs. Girls, by UWindsor film instructor Mike Stasko and his fwellow producer Theodore Bezaire, will be available in Canada on the broadcast channel and streaming service Crave starting today — June 9.
Set in 1990, the film is about the first summer a camp goes co-ed: the counsellors don’t like the change and a prank-filled battle of the sexes ensues. Stasko and Bezaire produced the work; Stasko also wrote and directed.
He is proud to have shot it entirely in Windsor-Essex.“We had a lot of help from local talent, including many film students from the University of Windsor,” Stasko says. “And to now have their work showcased on the national level is very exciting.”
Bezaire adds that airing on Crave lends prestige to the production.
“Crave is Canada’s leading streaming service and it’s a great validation for the Windsor-Essex region to be recognized as a spot for professional content creation,” he says.
The film will continue to be available on most video-on-demand platforms, including Google Play and Apple Movies.
