The Canadian Football League has invited Andrew Beatty and Sam Girard of the Lancer football program to participate in a pre-draft showcase of talent.

The CFL combine engages players in physical and mental tests, drills, and interviews in front of coaches and scouts. This year, the entire experience will be conducted remotely.

Girard plays at the quarterback position and Beatty is a defensive back.

Head coach Jean-Paul Circelli hopes the virtual format will allow their passion and dedication to shine through.

“"With all the limitations and adaptations student-athletes have endured this past year, I have been impressed with the amount of work both Sam and Andrew have put into their training and preparation for the CFL draft,” he says.
