Cait Stiles will join the Lancer women’s hockey team as an apprentice coach.

The Lancer women’s hockey team has a new apprentice coach thanks to the support of Sport Canada.
Cait Stiles, equipment manager for the squad last season, is one of 18 former student-athletes announced Thursday as inaugural participants in the U Sports Female Apprenticeship Coaching Program.
The role will see her work with head coach Deanna Iwanicka to support skill development, recruitment, video analysis, statistics, scouting, and academic mentorship. The program aims to increase the number of women in coaching positions across Canadian universities by matching apprentices with mentors.
