Gemma Grey-Hall has accepted an appointment as acting director, advancement, effective Aug. 10, UWindsor president Rob Gordon announced Thursday.
The position will provide strategic oversight of advancement operations, including the overall direction, planning, policy development, management, and co-ordination of services supporting the University's fundraising activities.
Grey-Hall has worked as the major gift officer in the University’s Faculty of Science since 2014 and has more than 10 years of experience in fundraising and over 15 years of experience in marketing and sales.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to work with Dr. Gordon and the leadership team to help build the philanthropic culture at the University of Windsor,” she said.
Dr. Gordon said the new acting director, advancement, will be working closely with the University’s leadership team, including all of the deans and the university librarian, to assist in meeting fundraising goals as they relate to University-wide priorities, special projects, and support for campus units.
“We are thrilled to have Gemma on board to provide leadership towards enhancing our institutional advancement and fundraising activities,” Gordon said. “It is an extremely important position, and Gemma brings exceptional skills and insight to this role.”
