A chance to network with legal professionals will benefit the Windsor-Essex Food Bank, when the Pre-Law Student Society holds its Bid on a Lawyer banquet, Feb. 7 at the St. Clair Centre for the Arts.
Guests will enjoy gourmet catering, raffle prizes, music, and dance, as well as the opportunity to bid on the services of several prominent lawyers, with proceeds going to the food bank.
“As aspiring lawyers, community service is integral to our profession, and we can think of no better way to give back than by helping to fight hunger in our community,” says Pre-Law Student Society president Gail O’Neil. “PLSS has already sourced two bins worth of non-perishable food items for the charity thanks to generous contributors on our team and at our fundraisers. This event will allow us to direct some of our monetary proceeds to them as well.”
Computer science major Noah Campbell will emcee the event, and Windsor Updates will provide photography services. Find details and order tickets on the banquet’s Eventbrite site.
