A free public reception Thursday, Feb. 7, will celebrate The Photo Show, an exhibition of student works in the SoCA Gallery.

On display is a selection of prints produced during the Fall 2018 semester by students in three photography classes taught by professors Brenda Francis Pelkey and Cyndra MacDowall.

The works represent a range of subjects and approaches, including portraiture and self-portraiture, family history, social relations, and more. The show will remain on exhibit through Feb. 10. Learn more on the School of Creative Arts website.

Thursday’s reception promises refreshments and a chance to meet the artists. It will run 5 to 7 p.m. in the gallery, located in the Armouries building at 37 University Ave. E.
