A partnership between the Council of the Great Lakes Region (CGLR) and the World Health Innovation Network (WIN) at the UWindsor Odette School of Business will strengthen cross-border and cross-sector collaboration in Canada and the United States, supporters wrote in a release Tuesday announcing the development.
“The new alliance will engage Canadian and American health sector organizations to have critical discussions about the adoption and scaling of health policies and innovations,” said Anne Snowdon, academic chair of WIN. “The cross-border dialogue will help our countries achieve value and impact in our health systems and improve healthcare outcomes for our citizens.
“The origins of both WIN and CGLR began in the Windsor-Detroit trade corridor where strong ties between our two nations already exist and will be further strengthened with this partnership.”
The organizations will collaborate on shared objectives to scale innovations in healthcare that address pressing challenges by leveraging their expertise and extensive networks. This is conveyed through their work together on the upcoming Great Lakes Economic Forum in Cleveland, Ohio, on May 6 to 8.
