UWindsor engineering professor Paul Henshaw will lead a contingent of cyclists from west Windsor to join self-powered commuters for a free Bike to Work Day breakfast on Monday, May 28.
The event encourages people to consider alternatives to driving and will bring together riders leaving in groups from LaSalle, south Windsor, Walkerville, and Riverside, as well as the University neighbourhood. The five paths will converge at Jackson Park at 7:20 a.m. then head to the riverfront for the free morning meal, sponsored by Bike Windsor Essex and the Windsor Bicycling Committee.
The University group will leave from Giglio's Market, 2268 Wyandotte Street West, at 7 a.m.
The day will also feature giveaways and prize draws. Find details on the Bike to Work Day website.
