A campus symposium Friday, September 29, will feature a panel discussion of the latest issues surrounding the legalization of marijuana and a keynote address on successful biotechnology commercialization.
The Biotechnology Entrepreneurship symposium encourages entrepreneurial thinking and promotes networking among students and industry, says organizer Tranum Kaur, professor of chemistry and bio-chemistry and coordinator of the Masters of Medical Biotechnology (MMB) program. It is geared toward emerging professionals exploring how to bring their discoveries from lab bench to market.
The full-day event is set for the CAW Student Centre’s Ambassador Auditorium. Registration, including lunch, is free for students of the University of Windsor or St. Clair College; for all others it is $25. Find more information, including a program and list of speakers, on the symposium website.
