Graduates of the UWindsor creative writing program are among the literary personalities who will present during “Women of Words Unite,” Friday, March 10, at the Green Bean Café.

The free public event, sponsored by the Department of English Language, Literature and Creative Writing, will feature readings, book sales and signings — and conversation about the power of words.

Participants include:

• Shawna Partridge (MA 2015), author of Rule of Seconds;
• Kate Hargreaves (BA 2010, MA 2012), book designer and author of Leak and Talking Derby;
• Janine Marley (BA 2012, MA 2014), director and founding member of Paper-Knife Theatre;
• Vanessa Shields (BA communications 2002), author of I am that Woman and Look at Her; and
• Brittni Brinn (MA 2015), writer, musician, and co-host of the Hardcover Literary Podcast.  

The literary event runs 6 to 10 p.m. at 2320 Wyandotte Street West.
