Windsor Law hopes to raise $10,000 in support of organizations helping victims of violence with its ninth annual production of the Vagina Monologues on Wednesday, February 15, at the Capitol Theatre.
In a series of monologues, the play uses humour and grace — and playwright Eve Ensler’s interviews with more than 200 women — to celebrate women’s sexuality and strength.
“It hopes to enlighten and empower both the audience and the cast members through a thought-provoking and emotional journey,” says production chair Anchal Bhatia, a third-year law student.
Organizers have set a goal of $10,000 to support the Windsor-Essex Sexual Assault Crisis Centre and organizations that combat violence against women in the workplace by selling out the Pentastar Theatre’s 620 seats and through a raffle.
