Students from 18 area high schools will put their knowledge, teamwork and critical thinking skills to the test Friday on the UWindsor campus as they compete in the Science Olympiad.
Science students, staff and faculty volunteers have developed a series of hands-on, minds-on challenges for participants vying for glory and prizes.
Members of top teams will each receive a scholarship to study science at the University of Windsor — $1,000 for first-place and $500 for second-place finishers.
“These are some of the top-achieving high schoolers in Windsor-Essex,” says organizer Michelle Bondy. “We are so happy to have them here and hope everyone will extend a big UWindsor welcome.”
