A UWindsor music instructor is among the members of an ensemble that will perform a free public concert on Windsor’s riverfront Sunday, August 14.
The Windsor Symphony Orchestra brass quintet features trumpeter Ross Turner of the School of Creative Arts, as well as trumpeter Rich Illman, hornist Iris Krizmanic, trombonist Rupert Price and tubist Brent Adams.
Sunday’s one-hour program will highlight a wide range of music, taking listeners from Bach to Gershwin with a little ragtime added in. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, even a picnic dinner to enjoy beside the water.
The show—the last this year in the orchestra’s annual free summer concert series—gets underway at 7 p.m. in Windsor Sculpture Park, on the riverfront at the foot of Bridge Avenue. More details are available online.
