Overwhelming demand for training in the Drupal content management system for maintaining UWindsor websites has convinced instructor Rob Aitkens to add a second session this month.
Drupal 7 Basics will focus on teaching site editors how to create pages and events, upload graphics and use menus and blocks, says Aitkens, web architecture, development and design lead in the Office of Public Affairs.
A class February 8 filled up within hours of registration opening, he says. The new session will run 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 16. Aitkens will give first priority to faculty and staff who previously tried and failed to register.
The training is aimed at site editors with little previous Drupal experience and for those transitioning their sites from version 6 to version 7 of the system. Registration is required through this online form. The class will be offered again in early March.
