The UWindsor Model United Nations will discuss the topic of gender equality in a simulation of the general assembly on Wednesday and Thursday, February 3 and 4.
“Our group strives to improve students’ debate skills, public speaking skills, political awareness, research skills, and writing skills,” says drama student Kirthana Sasitharan, who acts as the group’s secretary-general. “We would love to have new and familiar faces come out and engage in this conversation.”
She says trainers are available to provide guidance through the research and debate process.
Both evenings’ sessions will run 7 to 9 p.m. in room 1101, Centre for Engineering Innovation. To ask to be assigned a country to represent, e-mail fariasn@uwindsor.ca.
