Anna Kirby, executive director of Campus Services, will take on the responsibility of acting executive director of Information Technology Services effective January 11.
She succeeds Bala Kathiresan, who is leaving UWindsor for an appointment as president of BCNET, a not-for-profit, shared information technology services organization governed by British Columbia’s higher education and research institutions.
Provost Douglas Kneale expressed confidence that Kathiresan will prove an asset to BCNET.
“I am sure the campus community joins me in thanking Bala for his contributions and in welcoming Anna to her new role,” he said. “She brings to IT Services great familiarity with many aspects of campus operations.”
Kirby will hold this position while the University conducts a search for a chief information officer. To ensure that Campus Services continues to serve the needs of students, faculty and staff in its many operations, Dave McEwen will take on the role of acting executive director of Campus Services effective January 11.
