Serving between 1,000 and 2,000 users a year, the community food bank of the Windsor Homes Coalition meets a definite need among the low-income population of the central city. A group of psychology graduate students wants to help.
The Community Action Group is dedicated to engaging in projects through Windsor-Essex, says its director of social events, Kristin Schramer, a doctoral candidate in applied social psychology.
“One of our current initiatives is the Winter Food Drive, collecting for this food bank, which has 25 years of service to the needy in the community,” she says.
