Men’s hockey to close 2015 at home vs. Western Mustangs

On Wednesday, December 2, the Windsor Lancers men’s hockey team will host the Western Mustangs for their first meeting of the year. They split last season’s series 1-1.

Coming into the game, the Mustangs are just two points ahead of the Lancers in Ontario University Athletics’ west conference, with a record of 10-5; Windsor sports an 8-6 record.

Fourth-year veteran Matt Marantz leads the Mustangs with 22 points in 15 games. However, passing has clearly been his specialty this year. He ranks second in the country, with 18 of his 22 points from assists.

Forward Justice Dundas leads Windsor with 18 points in 16 games. Dundas is in his first year with the Lancers, as he spent last year playing for the Saint John Sea Dogs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

This will be the Lancers’ last game before breaking for exams and Christmas. The puck will drop at South Windsor Arena at 7:30 p.m.
