The Humanities Research Group presents Windsor native Roberta Mock, a professor of performance studies at the University of Plymouth, delivering a lecture and a workshop on campus this week.
Dr. Mock will present the free public lecture “Practising research in performance: Heaven is a place,” at 5 p.m. Thursday, October 29, in Katzman Lounge, Vanier Hall. Director of the Research Institute in the Arts and Humanities, she will share her work on an intriguing, 21st century methodology which links the arts and humanist inquiry. Her research tends to focus on the body, gender and sexuality and her books include Jewish Women on Stage, Film, and Television.
She will also offer a free participatory workshop to students on Friday, October 30, entitled “Creating an Alter-Ego.” Gemma Chatwin, a UPlymouth student on exchange, will present on her own project.
