A campus town hall meeting today—Tuesday, October 27—will discuss how students and the University community can help to ameliorate international and domestic humanitarian crises.
UWindsor president Alan Wildeman is inviting students, faculty, and staff to offer ideas on two broad questions:
- What can students at the University of Windsor do if they want to respond to the Syrian crisis or to any humanitarian crisis that moves people to want to help?
- What is the best way for the University of Windsor as an institution to respond?
Special guests will include former Canadian ambassador to Jordan, Michael Molloy, and Barbara Jackman, a lawyer specializing in immigration and refugee law.
The event will run 5 to 7 p.m. in Vanier Hall’s Winclare C Room and offer pizza and refreshments. Details are available in the flyer online.
