A brunch Sunday, January 18, will raise funds to support three Lancers headed to Spain this February with the women’s hockey team representing Canada at the 2015 FISU World University Games.

Jenny MacKnight and Bree Polci are the first Lancers named to Team Canada in the sport. Jim Hunter, head coach of the UWindsor program, will serve as an assistant coach at the Universiade.

Sunday’s event will help to offset their expenses. It is set for 11 a.m. at the Penalty Box Restaurant, 2151 Walker Road. Tickets are $20; contact Shari Turcotte at 519-253-3000, ext. 2437.
