“It is a tremendous honour to once again represent my country at such a prestigious meet,” said Lumley, who will coach the jumps and combined events. “I am excited to work with some of the best athletes in the country and to show the world what we can do.”

Men’s hockey coach to extend stay

The Department of Athletics has signed Kevin Hamlin to a three-year extension of his contract as head coach of Lancer men’s hockey.

“We are very excited to have Kevin on board as head coach for the next three years,” said athletic director Mike Havey. “Kevin has done a tremendous job with the program thus far, turning them into a national championship contender, and we are looking forward to him leading the team into the future.”

Hamlin’s squad enjoyed a remarkable 2013/14 season, capturing the Ontario University Athletics championship and finishing ranked fifth in Canada—a record high for Windsor.

He said the three-year extension gives him the time to continue the growth process.

“We hope to reach our full potential with a veteran group and several freshman additions,” Hamlin said.
