Philosophy professor Catherine Hundleby, a fellow of the Centre for Research in Reasoning, Argumentation and Rhetoric, applies her discipline to evolutionary biology in a presentation Tuesday, June 10.
In her lecture, “Fallacies in Scientific Reasoning: the Fallacy of Accident and the Case of Adaptationism,” Dr. Hundleby argues that ignoring exceptions to a rule has greater consequence when the rule in question is a law of nature.
The free public event begins at 3 p.m. in room 209, Essex Hall.
