Breakfast workshop to consider easing cross-border trade

A breakfast workshop Thursday will review the state of Canada-U.S. trade and the alignment of regulatory approaches to protect health and the environment while reducing costs for cross-border businesses.

“Crossing Borders: Trade Facilitation and Regulatory Cooperation” will feature speakers:

  • Laurie Tannous, vice-president for government and industry relations, Russell Farrow customs brokerage
  • Daniel Ujczo, international trade and customs lawyer with the firm Dickinson Wright

It runs 8 to 9:30 a.m. March 20 at the Holiday Inn, 1855 Huron Church Road. Hosted by the Cross-Border Institute and the Faculty of Law at the University of Windsor, it will include a light breakfast; admission is free.
