Ontario University Athletics named Lancers Korissa Williams and Mac McDonnell as its athletes of the week for the period ending March 16.
Williams won the nod for her performance during the Bronze Baby tournament, which helped Windsor to its fourth straight Canadian Interuniversity Sport championship in women’s basketball. Williams topped double digits in rebounds in all three Lancer contests, including the only double-double of the title game.
McDonnell, a rookie forward on the Lancer men’s hockey team, scored Windsor’s second goal in Saturday’s 3-2 win over the McGill Redmen at South Windsor Arena to secure the first provincial title for the program in 15 years.
