A free public presentation Wednesday will discuss forensic techniques used to identify those responsible for groundwater problems—including some real cases in Canada and the United States that have been the subject of film dramas.
Michael Sklash, senior hydrogeologist at Dragun Corporation, has titled his talk “Groundwater contamination goes Hollywood: A Civil Action, Erin Brockovich, and Promised Land.”
Dr. Sklash has led Dragun’s technical team on many of its most challenging projects. Key to work on a variety of environmental problems has been his expertise in isotope hydrogeology.
His March 19 lecture will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Canada South Science City, 930 Marion Avenue, as part of the Science Café series. Sponsored by the Faculty of Science, the series offers discussion of important science research for the general public.
