Recent economics grad Imran Abdool (BSc 2008) will discuss his career in a free public presentation entitled “What Economists Do” on Friday, March 14.
The event is the fifth in an annual series to provide an opportunity for students to meet working economists, discuss their personal career development and the challenges and rewards of life as a professional economist.
Abdool completed an MA in economics at Carleton University in 2009, where he also earned an MA in international relations. After his graduate education, he worked for Finance Canada as a member of the assistant deputy minister’s Office for Financial Sector Policy, where he contributed to work in Macroprudential policy.
As an instructor of mathematics at the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth in Baltimore, he has taught courses on Macroeconomics and the Global Economy and also on Game Theory. Abdool is currently a private consultant and president of Blue Krystal Technologies. His business partners, Suddha Misra and Eza Chowdhury, are both University of Windsor graduates.
