The University’s 50th anniversary year isn’t over yet. Officials from the University of Windsor Students’ Alliance crossed campus Monday with a reminder that the celebrations continue, handing out about 300 free cupcakes in Lancer colours.
“Everyone has really enjoyed the surprise,” said the alliance’s vice-president, social, Ivona Bilbilovska. “We have been getting a great reception everywhere we show up.”
First-year biochemistry major Cody Fields was happy to take a break from studying in Essex Hall’s science student lounge to accept a cupcake.
“That was awesome,” he said as he polished off his snack. “I never say no to free food.”
Joshua Paglione, director of student life for the UWSA, said the student group has more activities planned before the end of the school year: “Stay tuned for details!”
