Louise Pillon, an instructor in the Centre for English Language Development, won this week’s DailyNews quiz contest and its fabulous prize of a big blue UWindsor mug. She plans to put it to good use.
“I need a nice big mug of hot chocolate!” said a happy Pillon.
Her entry was drawn from all those which correctly identified these facts about three journals rooted in the University of Windsor: professor emeritus Eugene McNamara founded the Windsor Review, the journal Informal Logic is dedicated to topics related to reasoning and argumentation, and the Windsor Yearbook of Access to Justice was founded in 1979.
To help celebrate the University of Windsor’s 50th anniversary, DailyNews will run a contest at the beginning of each week, offering a prize donated by the University Bookstore. This week’s prize, a cobalt blue mug with the University’s logo imprinted in white, is also available for purchase from the Bookstore at a cost of $9.99.
