Ontario University Athletics selected four Lancer football players to its all-star team Wednesday.
In a first for each of the student-athletes, fourth-year receiver Evan Pszczonak was named a first-team all-star, while kicker Dan Cerino, defensive tackle Tai Pham, and linebacker Akeem Whonder were named to the second team.
Pszczonak averaged 92.3 yards receiving per game, nabbing 42 receptions for 646 yards and six touchdowns over seven regular-season games.
In his final season with Windsor, Cerino posted 3052 punting yards with a long of 69.
On the defensive side, Whonder had an outstanding 43 solo tackles and 53 total tackles to place sixth overall in the country. The fifth-year Lancer added two sacks and an interception to close out his career.
Pham was a quarterback’s biggest fear as he led the team with 7.5 sacks, placing him seventh overall in Canada in the category. Pham also registered 19.5 tackles (15 solo and nine assisted) in eight games played.
