In a special e-mail message sent to all UWindsor graduates, president Alan Wildeman expressed his appreciation for their having chosen the University and extended an invitation to celebrations of its 50th anniversary September 19 to 22.

“I know that an anniversary is in many ways just another year, but a milestone is one of those things in life that unifies us,” he wrote. “As a holder of a University of Windsor degree, or perhaps for some of you a degree tracing back even further to Assumption University, there is a common thread that we are proud to celebrate.”

His letter also thanked alumni for their continuing contributions to campus life: “Through financial gifts, volunteer activities, and so much more, alumni have enriched the student experience and helped to position our university to make a difference in the world.”
