Four Lancers will represent Canada in women’s basketball at the Summer Universiade in Kazan, Russia, in July—coach Chantal Vallée and players Miah-Marie Langlois, Tessa Kreiger and Korissa Williams.
The 11-athlete roster heading to Kazan stars seven standouts from Canadian universities and four that compete in the NCAA. The team is training in Mississauga until June 30. More training and exhibition games will follow in Kazan from July 2 to 7. The 16-team Universiade tournament is set for July 8 to 15.
