Windsor delegates to the Ontario Residence Hall Association Conference, held at Brock University March 1 to 3, came home with a lot of hardware.
Eight representatives from residence, brought to the conference by the Windsor Inter-Residence Council, received recognition for the programs they offer students as well as the presentations they made to their fellow conferees.
Residence Education and Advocacy Leadership Week (REAL Week) was acknowledged as Program of the Year, while the I “Clover” Sober campaign was named Community Outreach Program of the Year.
Windsor students also swept the conference programming awards:
- 1st place, Spirituali-TEA and STEREO-types by Brent Oneschuk
- 2nd place, No Snap Judgements by Eric Nearing and Sarah Radmore
- 3rd place, Shall We Dance by Melissa Faulkner
Faulkner, president of the Windsor Inter-Residence Council, said the conference was a great learning experience, and winning some recognition was a welcome bonus.
