Kinesiology student Kristy Martin says bicycling to campus is convenient. |
With the fine summer weather, there’s no reason to drive to work every day. Why not bicycle instead?
Windsor’s bicycling committee is promoting an organized ride through the city this Friday, June 1, as a way to introduce commuters to the joys of biking. The ride will begin at Place Concorde in Forest Glade and wind up at the CBC building, 825 Riverside Drive West, with a light breakfast for participants.
“The ride will pass by many parts of the city that have new bike facilities,” says Nicole Noel, a member of the committee and research coordinator in the Centre for Studies in Social Justice. “You can join us at any point along the ride—on your bike, of course!”
Registrants will be eligible for a raffle draw. Find more information, including a full route map, on the event Web site.
