Viren Parasram, a systems programmer in Information Technology Services, won the early bird draw for registrants to Campus Technology Day 2012, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth pre-registering. Today – Monday, May 14 – is the last chance to claim your complimentary lunch at Thursday’s conference.
Campus Technology Day, May 17 in the CA Student Centre, will include poster presentations and interactive sessions discussing the role of technology in enhancing learning, teaching, research, and building community. Registration is free for all UWindsor students, faculty and staff. And those who register online by today are eligible for the complimentary lunch.
The day’s agenda includes a keynote address by Google executive John MacDonald, training in the use of video for teaching, a session on employing digital technologies to support academic integrity, and the introduction of the University’s mobile app for students. Find a full list of presentations on the conference Web site.
Parasram’s name was drawn from all those registered by May 1; he will receive his prize, an iPod Touch, during Thursday’s opening session.
