A master’s student of visual arts will present a unique work this week.
Actualized Space(s): site projection is both real and virtual, says its creator, Nicolas de Cosson. Patrons will stand outside the SB Contemporary Art gallery on Thursday, April 26, to view the projection from dusk to 10 p.m.
It deals with the idea of the gallery space as one in constant transition, says de Cosson.
“The projection also deals with the membrane as the source that holds the projection along with interactive elements,” he says. “It is a virtual space actualized in a physical space. It is real, yet it is virtual -- it is virtual, yet it is real.”
The gallery is located at 1017 Church Street. Its current exhibition, Peek, by six MFA candidates, continues until April 28, but will not be accessible Thursday night.
