The Mental Health Awareness Week Committee is busy preparing events for On the Road to Mental Health, for Mental Health Awareness week, taking place January 16 to 20th. Highlights of the week’s events will include a talk by former Barenaked Ladies lead singer Steven Page.
The Page event will take place Monday, January 16 at 7 p.m. at the St. Denis Centre and is open free of charge to all University of Windsor students, $2 for St. Clair College and high school students and $5 general admission on a first-come basis. Faculty and staff are also welcome.
Other events for the week include a panel discussion with students and mental health care professionals; a Music, Mood and Food event in the CAW Student Centre; free fitness classes all week; a health fair and plays focusing on mental health issues, as well as suicide prevention training for students, faculty and staff.
